Saint Peter’s Church is a welcoming and diverse evangelical catholic communion. All people are welcome to take part fully in the liturgical life of this community.
Appointed textsThe ecumenical Revised Common Lectionary appoints texts in a three year cycle (Years A, B and C). As a commitment to Christian unity, Saint Peter’s follows this cycle. The texts for the Epiphany of our Lord, Year A are:
Psalm 72:1–7, 10–14
Saint Matthew 2:1–12
The Epiphany of our Lord celebrates three revelations of God's majesty in Christ Jesus: the Visit of the Magi, the Baptism of our Lord, and the Wedding Feast at Cana. Saint Peter's celebrates this festival over the course of three consecutive Sundays, January 5, 12 and 19.
