Saint Peter's and Central Synagogue join together for this annual commemoration of the Holocaust. Hosted this year by Saint Peter's, the liturgy begins in it's main Sanctuary at 6:00 p.m.

Rabbi Angela Buchdahl and Pastor Amandus J. Derr will lead the two communities in commemorating Yom HaShaoh with song, candle lighting, and prayer.

About the liturgy

The pattern of the liturgy is generally fixed, whether hosted by Saint Peter's or Central. It includes the lighting of candles, readings, El Malei Rahamim (God, full of mercy, dwelling on high) and Mourner's Kaddish. English translations of Hebrew are provided.
