Pastor Fabian Arias Will Be On Sabbatical This Summer

The Executive Committee and Parish Council have approved a three month sabbatical for Pastor Fabian Arias beginning Monday, May 15, and concluding in mid-August. Pastor Arias will visit various parts of Central and South America, as well as Europe. It is especially important that he see his family in this period, as well.

A Sabbatical Team, chaired by our Vice President, Andres Rodriguez is accompanying Pastor Arias in this time, reflecting on the rejuvenation he is planning and helping to maintain appropriate boundaries. Especially as pastoral sabbatical is also a time of rest for the congregation, the team will reflect on the ways in which we are experiencing rest and renewal. Pastor Jared R. Stahler and Diaconal Fellow Erin Brown have planned a few pastoral residencies to provide pastoral coverage in this period. Please plan to join a “sending” for Pastor Arias at our 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. liturgies on Sunday, May 14.
