A Coat for a Friend 2024
Dear friends of Saint Peter’s,
For the past three years, we have collected coats to help the most vulnerable in our midst in time for Thanksgiving. Last year, we met our Thanksgiving goal of 100 coats, and even extended the coat drive through Christmas to meet the overwhelming demand.
Now, we ask you to open your hearts once again, as we focus our resources this year on providing children's coats. Please join the Saint Peter's Action and Social Justice Cabinet for our 2024 Coat Drive which will provide coats to our immigrant brothers and sisters who have recently arrived in New York with no winter clothes. Our goal is to provide 120 coats for children, ages 2, 5/6, and 10. If we can get more than 120 coats, all the better. Thank you!
Important Notes: In our public shopping list, we’ve made it easy to add a variety of children’s coats for multi-aged children to be distributed by our Action and Social Justice Cabinet at in-person clothing drives this month. When checking out, choose “Saint Peter’s Church’s Gift Registry” address. If you wish to purchase an adult coat, please feel free to add one to your shopping cart in addition to our selections.
Want to drop off a new coat in person? If you purchased a coat from elsewhere, feel free to drop it off at the Church on Sundays between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m..

Please be advised that as generous as a gently-used donation would be, for health and safety reasons we are only accepting new coats.
Thank you for your generous support and for helping keep our community warm this season!
In Christ,
