Annual Report 2023
RETURN. RENEWAL. REBIRTH.
There is so much life at the intersection—thanks to you!
From the President
This year over-flowed with significant events: from the restoration of our Sanctuary, to the organ’s re-installation; from Pastor Arias’ restful sabbatical, to the rebirth of many of our programs.
We rejoiced with reunited families. We mourned the loss of towering members of our community. We rebuilt partnerships and started new ones. We launched the For the Future campaign with the Arts and Architecture Conservancy at Saint Peter’s.
Thank you for your commitment to return, renewal, and rebirth in this place.
Below, I’m delighted to share our 2023 Annual Report with you.
Suzanne Loranc, President
From the Clergy
To us, the most vibrant sign of life we see at the intersection of our expansive community is — you! Whether you volunteer at one of our food distribution locations, or give $500 or $5 to support our Summer Day Camp; whether you sing in the choir, or attend one of our Jazz Memorials, you are a key element of the abundance we see all around us.
Your commitment to making 2023 a year of “return, renewal, and rebirth” encouraged us in our pastoral ministry. This year was filled with some of the most joyful moments and some of the most painful: the joys of baptisms and first communions; and the sorrows of the deaths of many beloved community members.
Through it all, we were brought together as one parish community.

ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE
With the struggles of the last few years increasingly behind us, we are pressing forward with determination and joy.
I am delighted to share this report with you as well as this photo of Suzanne Loranc, President of Saint Peter’s Church, and Ed Wagner, President of the Arts and Architecture Conservancy at Saint Peter’s, addressing members of Saint Peter’s at our June 2023 Annual Congregational Meeting.

ACTION & SOCIAL JUSTICE
We continue to expand our commitment to those navigating immigration with existing and new partnerships.
This photo captures the distribution of backpacks at an Intergenerational/Family Day, a newly-launched community event occurring on the second Sunday of every month.

PARISH LIFE
Our community is experiencing new growth, new members and new initiatives — new challenges and opportunities.
Participants of Saint Peter’s Annual Kids Summer Camp received their certification of completion on July 23 during Sunday’s Masses, yet another sign of this continued growth.

LITURGY & THE ARTS
The beauty of Saint Peter’s is coming alive once again with liturgies, art, community and more. Many blessings!
Barry Harris’s Jazz Memorial, attended by over 400 people on May 10, honored the jazz legend with a full choir, band, and heartfelt tributes, as shown here with Jazz singer Sheila Jordan.
