This parish-wide listening session is intended to widen the circle of conversation toward a Saint Peter’s Strategic Plan for 2022-2027. Consultants, Mieke Vandersall and Jen DeLeon, have been working with the leadership of the parish, and will invite more people into this process. The goal is to learn or relearn deep listening skills, share perspectives and work toward a unified mission for the “new Saint Peter’s Church.”

Please join us on Zoom for a memorial for jazz trombone great Curtis Fuller, who passed away at the age of 88, on May 8 in Detroit. Mr. Fuller was a key player in the development of the style known as hard bop in the 1950s and 60s, appearing on classic albums by John Coltrane, Art Blakey, Lee Morgan, Hank Mobley, and many more. He also recorded his own albums as a leader for the pivotal jazz labels of the time, such as Blue Note, Impulse!, and Prestige. He went on to have an important decades-long career, and is regarded as one of the most important trombonists to have ever played the music.
